Presentation Competition
A power point presentation competition “MAGNUS NAVITAS” was organized on the topic “FUTURE OF ENERGY IN INDIA: ITS CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS”, exclusively for the first year students. The competition received great enthusiasm from the students with quite a large number of abstracts being sent for the selection round. After a lot of speculation, a total of 10 participants were shortlisted for the final presentation.
The event received a huge response from the first year students with around 150 students turning up for the event. The judge for the competition was Dr. U.P.Sharma, faculty, petroleum engineering who judged the students on the basis of their presentation, their communication skills and their response to the questions put up the audience.
And even though all the participants presented beyond expectations Vivek Shankar, Shailesh Prakash and Abhishek Tiwari were awarded the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place respectively. At the end of the competition, the prizes and certificates were given to the winners by the judge. The office bearers of the Petrotech Society ISM chapter gave valuable tips to the first years to improve their presentation skills. The event ended with a vote of thanks by Gaurav Agrawal, Vice-President of Petrotech Society, ISM Chapter.
